AUDITIONS

The Arts Club is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.

We respect, champion, and uplift underrepresented voices in all jobs. Our stages and stories aim to reflect the beauty, diversity, and nuance of our city. We strongly encourage submissions from those who self-identify as belonging to underrepresented communities. We want to work with artists from every walk of life; we want to see talent we haven’t seen before; we want to see you and your art. Seriously!

We encourage all artists to review our Commitment to Anti-Oppression & Inclusion and FAQs before they submit for an audition.

There are currently no auditions scheduled.

For more artistic opportunities and events, check out our email Artist Newsletter—sign up here.

Please note that we are a small team that handles 300–700 submissions per production, so our capacity is limited. We kindly ask that you review these FAQs before submitting for auditions. If you have any outstanding questions, please email us at auditions@artsclub.com.

Q: How do I submit for auditions?
The audition posting includes the link to the submission Typeform. If you require an alternative method for submitting, please email us at auditions@artsclub.com.

Q: What will I need to submit?
When you are ready to submit, please have your resume & headshot on hand in one combined PDF document. You will be asked up upload this document as part of the submission process.

Q: The submission deadline has passed. Can I still submit?
Unfortunately, we can only accept submissions that are sent before the deadline.

Q: I reside outside of Vancouver/the Lower Mainland. Can I still submit?
For most productions, we prioritize seeing local Artists. However, specific roles may be open to a national casting call. Please refer to the audition posting for more information.

Q: When will I know if I have an audition?
We aim to send audition invites 5–7 days before your audition date. We truly thank you for your time and interest in submitting; however, due to team capacity, only those individuals who are invited to audition will be contacted.

Q: What materials should I prepare?
Your audition invitation will include the audition sides, songs, and dance call information (as necessary).

Q: Will there be a place for me to warm up?
Depending on studio availability, common spaces or studios will act as warm-up areas, with space for Artists to warm up and store their things while they are auditioning. We kindly ask that Artists do not show up more than 20 minutes prior to their audition slot.

Q: What do I do if I’m not feeling well on the day of my audition?
We ask that anyone exhibiting cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms please not enter the building. In this situation, we ask that you contact the Theatre and let us know that you will not be arriving for your audition, at which time we will work with you to re-schedule your slot or accept a video submission. Our Communicable Disease Plan is based on the current Provincial Health Orders as issued by the BC Ministry of Health.

Q: Do you accept walk-in auditions?
Our audition schedules are planned down to the minute! Out of respect for our creative teams and arts administrators, we kindly ask that only those who have been invited attend the auditions. This also means keeping door entry codes confidential, for security reasons.
